Day Two - A Garden Visitor

Day Two - still in the garden between raindrops

We feed the birds in our garden everyday throughout the year and have a healthy flock of sparrows plus other visitors like blackbirds, robins, goldfinches, green finches and chaffinches.  We have great tits, blue tits and coal tits not forgetting the robins and starlings.

As our garden is in the city we don't expect to receive visits from many woodland birds but this morning we did - a Jay visited three or four times collecting pieces of bread which we had spread across the grass.  The are very lucky birds as they get the remnants of our homemade, wholemeal bread and this Jay decided it was certainly to his or her taste.  I'll show you our other bird feeders over the next few days.
